MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin pop mainstream is being influenced by his international impact. His hit song from 2016 Una Lady Como Tu was the winner of the Colombian Kids Choice Award for Favorite Song in the year 2017. His debut album ADN came out through La Industria Inc., a Medellin-based Sony distribution company. The album reached the top of the charts at number eight in the Top Latin Albums charts. In the following year, he joined forces with Ozuna to record Vaina Loca which was an album that was a Top Five hit. In 2020 he released his charting sophomore album Dopamina and collaborated on Mala Influencia along with Noriel. In 2021, he performed in a duo with TINI to perform her music video Maldita Foto. 2000 saw him perform the hit single La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo's brother and mother were both musicians when he was born. In his interviews, he's described participating in music as compulsory. When he was young, he taught to perform on the piano, saxophone as well as guitar. Though his original goal was to become veterinarian, his brother Julian was able to convince him to enroll in singing lessons with an instructor in Cuban.
